Minimum Age Policy

1. Minimum Age

The minimum age to register and use FriendShaping is 18 years. We do not accept registrations from anyone under 18, also not with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

FriendShaping helps adults meet new people in real life. We believe this is only appropriate for adults, which is why we have chosen one clear age limit.

2. How We Check Age

When you register, you enter your date of birth. If it shows that you are under 18, your account is not created. By registering, you confirm that the date of birth you provide is correct.

3. If We Learn a User Is Under 18

If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will close the account and delete their personal data without undue delay. If you believe a user is under 18, please let us know via our Contact & Complaints procedure.

4. Protecting Young People

• Our Moderation Policy prohibits any content or behaviour that exploits or endangers young people.
• Any user who targets or grooms minors will be immediately and permanently banned and reported to the relevant Dutch authorities.
• Urgent safety concerns can also be reported to the Dutch police (0900-8844) or Veilig Thuis, the reporting centre for child abuse and domestic violence (0800-2000).

5. Changes to This Policy

We may change this age limit in the future. If we do, we will update this page and our Terms of Use before the change takes effect.
